Deepika Padukone’s upcoming film Chhapaak is one of the most anticipated films of the year. Actor Vikrant Massey, who played supporting characters in films like Lootera, Dil Dhadakne Do and Half Girlfriend came on board to play a key character opposite Deepika Padukone in this drama. While many leaked pictures and videos of the duo from the sets surfaced on the internet. But you will surprise to know that not Vikrat but Rajkummar Rao was the first choice for the film.
In a recent chat show, Rajkumar said, “I didn’t turn it down. Of course not! I loved that script but my dates were so messed up. I’m so looking forward to that film. I kept telling Meghna and Deepika that it’s my loss.”

Deepika Padukone had to sit for a long time for her prosthetics make-up, which was indeed one of the crucial tasks for the makers. Director Meghna Gulzar said, “You won’t be seeing Deepika, you know. You will be seeing a disfigured Deepika. There is an uncanny similarity between the survivor and Deepika.”

Chhapaak is based on acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal and is scheduled to hit the screens on January 10, 2020, and will clash with Ajay Devgn and Kajol starrer Tanhaji: The Unsung Hero at the ticket windows.
