Chandigarh: A large number of farmers in Punjab left for New Delhi to participate in the tractor parade on Republic Day, even within an hour after the Supreme Court banned the laying of three new agricultural laws. A large convoy of tractor-trolley has emerged from Amritsar to Delhi on Tuesday under the banner of Mazdoor Kisan Sangram Samiti. The donors and farmers' organizations have decided to send the participants to join the tractor parade in large figures by 20th January.

Some of the same farmers have decided that those who are not able to send their vehicles to Delhi will not be fined, otherwise they will be socially boycotted. On Tuesday, a loudspeaker from Gurudwaras in the entire state was announced to support the Kisan agitation in Delhi. The Gurudwara was told, "If we have missed now, then we will never get this opportunity. This is a battle of our title."

On Tuesday, the apex court, while hearing a number of cases relating to the farmers' agitation, banned the laying of three new agricultural laws passed by parliament in September 2020. At the same, the court also constituted a four-member high-level committee that will give its recommendations to the Court by listening to the difficulties of the donors, knowing the government's stand, and reviewing the farmers' laws.
