Zohra Khan, who is known as an actress in Indian movies, was born on this day i.e. April 27, 1912, in Saharanpur, New Delhi. She was born into a Sunni Muslim family. Zohra Sehgal's real name was Sahibzadi Zohra Begum Mumtaz Ullah Khan.

At the age of seven, Zohra Sehgal's cataract took away the light of her left eye. Zohra Ji's nature from the very beginning was rebellious. Famous dancer Uday Shankar's dance held in Dehradun inspired her. She was very interested in different cultures and customs. After graduating, she joined Uday Shankar's dance troupe and travelled from place to place. During this visit, she had a love marriage with Kameshwar Sehgal, eight years younger than her.

Zohra Sehgal began to suffer from the heart for a long time. She was admitted to Max Hospital in south Delhi on July 9, 2014. And on July 10, 2014, Zohra Sehgal breathed her last. Zohra had completed a life journey of 102 years in her lifetime. Even today, Zohra Sehgal is fondly remembered with moist eyes.
