Kota: The Supreme Court has sent a notice to the Rajasthan government in the case of the death of more than 100 newborns in a hospital in Kota. At the same time, the court sought an answer from the government on Monday on a petition requesting the investigation. A bench of Chief Justice SA Bobde, Justice BR Gavai and Justice Suryakant sent a notice to the state government on a petition filed by eminent doctor KK Aggarwal and social activist B Mishra. It has been learned that the petition has demanded an inquiry into the death of newborns in the absence of proper machines in the government hospital in Kota. Significantly, more than 100 children had died in the Kota government hospital recently.

According to the information received, the inquiry committee constituted during the investigation had submitted the report. At the same time, it is being said that the committee said that there are many defects in almost every kind of equipment and system in the hospital. Hypothermia was stated to be the main cause of children's death. It was revealed in the report that in 34 days in Kota Hospital, 107 children had died in the cheeks of Kaal.

The temperature of newborns should be up to 36.5 degrees. For this, their temperature is kept between 28 and 32 degrees through a warmer in the nursery. 44 of the 71 warmers present in the hospital were found to be defective. Due to which the temperature in the nursery fell and the children succumbed to hypothermia.
