NEW YORK: Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic clinched his third US Open title on Sunday dismissing Juan Martin del Potro, taking him level with Pete Sampras's mark of 14 Grand Slams. In the final match he has shown a brilliant game and he has beaten the Juan Martin Del Potro with 6-3, 7-6(4), 6-3 to win 3rd US tittle.

In this tournament, Navok Djokovic had a gloomy start but finally he managed to show his best and won the title. The 31- year old had got an elbow surgery and the player himself have not excepted that he will win the tournament. On this achievement player said that his year when he got the surgery that he will win Wimbledon, U.S. Open, and Cincinnati, would be hard to believe. The player further added that Life showed him that it takes time for good things, it takes time to really build them, for things to fall into place.

On losing the game, Del Potro said that he is very sad for being a loser today but Novak deserved to take the trophy. On appreciating the game of Djokovic he said that the worst part to me is the chances that I couldn’t make but then when you see a friend holding the trophy, it’s good. He added that he is glad that Novak is a champion.
