The World Health Organization (WHO) last Friday announced the emergency use of the Corona vaccine Covovax of the Serum Institute of India. As part of the recent information received, Adar Poonawalla, CEO, Serum Institute of India tweeted this. He has given all the information about it. Poonawala tweeted and wrote, 'This is yet another milestone in our fight against COVID-19. Covovax has been allowed emergency use by the WHO, which is showing excellent safety and efficacy. Thank you all.''

The covovax vaccine has been developed by the Serum Institute of India in association with the Novavax company. On the other hand, WHO believes that low-income countries will benefit greatly from the vaccine and will be vaccinated faster in a short time. "At a time when new variants are coming out, vaccines are the most effective way to protect people from serious diseases and deaths caused by SARS-COV-2," says Mariangela Simao of the World Health Organization (WHO). The Serum Institute of India (SII) plans to bring covid-19 vaccine for children in the next six months. In fact, the company's CEO Adar Poonawala himself has said this.

He says the 'Covowax' vaccine is under trial and will provide all-out protection to children aged three years and over. We have not seen much serious diseases in children. Fortunately, there is no panic for the children. However, we will bring a vaccine for children in six months, hopefully, it will be for children aged three years and above. At present other vaccines of Covishield and Covid-19 are approved for people above the age of 18 years.
