Mumbai: Mumbai is a city in Maharashtra, where people come from different corners of India to fulfill their dreams. In such a situation, the local train of Mumbai for the people living in Mumbai is also a medium to fulfill their dreams. Where local is considered to be the lifeline of Mumbai and every day lakhs of people travel in local and try to reach their work and their dreams. In such a situation, on the lines of airplanes, now railways is going to use 'black-box technology' in trains of Mumbai.

Railways is taking this decision to prevent the same train accidents. Like the plane, the 'black box' will be installed in the engine of long distance trains. It has started to equip the cabin of loco pilot and motorman cabin of local trains with Crew Voice & Video Recording System. Simultaneously, CCTV and audio-visual technology will be installed outside the bogie.

Cameras will be installed in the cabin of the same loco pilot. Through which the loco pilot and assistant loco pilot will be monitored. All this will be recorded in the CVVR system and as assistance is received from the black box at the time of an aircraft accident, similarly in case of any kind of accident or emergency, railways will get help from this system. With the help of this technique, the global cause of a train accident can be ascertained. Also, normally the train derails due to speed. So whether it is the driver's fault based on speed or not? It will be known.
