Bhopal: The government has announced an excise policy for the auction of liquor shops in all 52 districts of Madhya Pradesh. Liquor shops will be auctioned by 25 percent increase for the year 2020-21 and two groups will be formed in metros. In which grape wine outlets will also open at 15 tourist places. Wine shops will not open. The government has hoped to earn an additional income of two thousand crore rupees from this system.
In this proposed excise system, the government seems to be taking new measures to increase revenue. The latest solution in this is to make the supply of foreign liquor online, if you want to ask for a bottle of liquor sitting at home, then you can ask for it. The government claims that barcodes will be installed in every bottle for effective control over this business and every bottle will be monitored. Not only this, the government will open 15 new outlets at tourist places to spread the wine made from grapes to increase the income of the grape growing farmers. The fees of these outlets will be around Rs 10,000 per year.
Liquor shops will not be opened in Madhya Pradesh, it was proposed by the Excise Department earlier that if there is no shop within five kilometers of the liquor shop, then the contractor will be allowed to open a sub shop. But the cabinet took objection to this proposal. After this, Chief Minister Kamal Nath has given instructions to rethink and implement the policy. According to the new policy, in order to increase and secure revenue, execution of two thousand 544 country liquor shops and one thousand 61 foreign liquor shops in the 52 districts of the state by increasing the annual value of last year by 25 percent, by e-tender co-auction / renewal. Will be done. Along with this, two groups of shops will be formed in Indore, Bhopal, Gwalior and Jabalpur districts of the four major metropolitan cities of the state, which will have urban and rural areas and liquor-foreign liquor shops. The execution of these liquor shops will be done through e-tender cum auction and the reserve price will be increased by 25 percent from the annual value of the past times.
