The country's top three telecom companies Vodafone, Airtel and Jio are engaged in planning to increase mobile tariffs in the second half of the current fiscal. As a result, their revenue can see an increase of 20-25 percent. The companies say that if this is not done, then their losses are also going to be incurred by investing on spectrum and networks. This information has been given by the domestic rating agency CRISIL.

5% reduction in profit: Crisil has said in a report that the companies have also faced problems when earnings per customer has decreased by 5% in the last financial year. That's why they have to make this decision. In the last financial year, the number of customers of these companies had come down, as 3.70 crore customers were inactive.

Fares were increased in November-December: Between August 2021 and February 2022, reliance Dio's active customers figured at 94 per cent. Bharti Airtel had 99 per cent active customers. Vodafone Idea's 3 crore active customers fell short because it did not invest much in the 4G service. Earlier, these three companies had increased the fare by 20-25 per cent in November-December.
