Sports Minister Kiren Rijiju said in an effort to ease the tension following the IOA's complaint of the Ministry's interference in the functioning of the National Sports Federations (NSFs) that unwanted conduct of individuals should not become an obstacle in the way of institutional coordination.

Rijiju said that IOA President Narinder Batra has brought media reports to his notice in which some NSF have expressed concern that the Ministry and Sai are trying to control their functioning.

Rijiju said that regular consultation and discussion between all the concerned parties is necessary, but under no circumstances should the mutual coordination and this feeling be disturbed. Sports Secretary Radheshyam Julania had said on the NSF allegations that he should give up the facilities provided by the government before making any allegations of interference.
