Indore: The first commercial operation of the country's third private train has started from last Thursday. This train left from Varanasi for Indore at 2.45 pm and will reach Indore at 9.40 am on Friday. In return, this train will leave Indore at 10.55 am on Friday and reach Varanasi at 6 pm on Saturday. At the same time, IRCTC inaugurated Kashi Mahakal Express a day before Mahashivaratri and gave them the gift of Mahashivaratri.

In this train, up to 70 percent of the seats of passengers traveling on Thursday and Friday were filled in Mahakal, while the Flexi fare system has been implemented in Mahakal due to filling more seats. Passengers will have to book a seat on the train at a higher fare. In its first trial run, where the train has been shifted to the kitchen in place of the B5 coach, on entering this train, the first passengers were welcomed with flowers. Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off the train on February 16 for this train. Now equipped with modern facilities, this third class air conditioned train will run from Varanasi to Indore station via Sultanpur, Lucknow, Kanpur, Jhansi, Bina, Bhopal, Ujjain at 9.30 am.

Earlier, the fare from Varanasi to Indore was Rs 1951, on Wednesday, passengers had booked a seat for Rs 2110. Flexi fare has been applied after 70 percent booking on the train. It is planned to give gifts to the passengers first. But apart from booking a seat on this train, passengers can also book a tour package. Shiva temple built in coach B5 of this Kashi Mahakal Express has been shifted to the kitchen. The employees worshiped right there. The small temple has been retained on the train.
