Raipur: Former Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray has also suffered a major setback in Chhattisgarh. Here the state unit of Shiv Sena has expressed confidence in the camp of Eknath Shinde, leaving the Thackeray faction. On Friday, the Shiv Sena unit left the Thackeray faction and joined Shinde. Shiv Sainiks, led by Chhattisgarh Shiv Sena chief Dhananjay Parihar, Madhukar Pandey and Resham Jangde, reached Mumbai recently and met Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde. Thereafter, Dhananjay Singh Parihar expressed his trust in the Shinde faction. Dhananjay Parihar also invited Shinde to come to Chhattisgarh.

Let us tell you that two months ago there was a big political upheaval in Maharashtra. 38 MLAs of Shiv Sainiks revolted under the leadership of Eknath Shinde. The Maha Vikas Aghadi government was reduced to a minority. Thereafter, Uddhav Thackeray had to resign from the post of CM. Later the Eknath Shinde faction allied with the BJP and formed the government. Shinde was made the CM. While BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis became the Deputy Chief Minister. Now there is a dispute between Shinde and Uddhav faction regarding the party. The matter has reached the Supreme Court in this regard.

At the same time, after coming to power in Maharashtra, the Shinde faction started getting support in the state. Many big leaders have left Uddhav's side and joined the Shinde faction. Former Thane Mayor and Shiv Sena district president Naresh Mhaske also resigned from his post in support of Eknath Shinde. He had also written a letter to Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray alleging that the NCP had strangled Shiv Sena. After leaving the MVA alliance, Shinde had said in a tweet – I am fighting to free Shiv Sena and Shiv Sainiks from the clutches of the MVA dragon. This fight is for the benefit of all you Shiv Sainiks.
