Now jawans deployed in naxal operations will get air ambulance facility

Raipur: The operation against the Naxals and the security forces deployed at border posts in high mountain areas will now be served with full-time air ambulances. All the jawans who are deployed in Naxal areas will now be able to get air ambulance services. The Home Ministry has approved the air ambulance of MI-17 helicopter and said that air ambulances have been introduced on MI-17 for BSF personnel.

The air ambulance centre will be Ranchi, the capital of Jharkhand. The air ambulance will be ready for 24 hours and seven days and will take the jawans to the hospital for better health facilities if required. A doctor, nursing staff and medical staff will also be present in the service of Air Ambulances deployed in naxal affected areas, who will provide first aid to the jawans and also provide necessary health services in the air ambulance.

The air ambulance will be availed of in the naxal affected areas of Jharkhand as well as in the naxal affected areas of Chhattisgarh, Bastar, Balrampur, Surguja, Telangana and Orissa. Apart from the anti-naxal operation, the ambulance will also be available for service during natural calamities.
