Now the Muslim Personal Law Board came out against the 'Uniform Civil Code'

Lucknow: The All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB) has termed the Uniform Civil Code as an unconstitutional and anti-minority move. Under the UCC, the central government wants to implement a law for all across the country under which all the citizens of the country will be treated according to the same law. But the Muslim Personal Law Board is opposing it. The AIMPLB says that uttarakhand, uttar pradesh and the central government are talking about bringing this law to divert the focus from inflation, economy and rising unemployment.

Let us know that the BJP in its manifesto of the 2019 Lok Sabha elections had promised to implement the UCC if it came to power and the party was made victorious by the people with a thumping majority. It is clear from this that most of the people of the country are in favour of equality, but the Muslim Personal Law Board has objected to it. The AIMPLB has urged the central government not to bring in a uniform civil code. The Board's General Secretary Hazrat Maulana Khalid Saifullah Rahmani, while addressing a press conference, said that the Constitution of India has allowed every citizen of the country to live according to his religion and it has been included in the fundamental rights.

According to the Mulsim Personal Law Board, under this right, separate personal laws have been created for the minorities and tribal sections according to their wishes and traditions, which do not cause any harm to the country. The board said it helps in maintaining mutual unity and trust between the majority and the minority.
