New Delhi: The Supreme Court judgements will soon be available in Hindi as well. By the end of this month, the apex court's judgment will be available not only in English but also in six regions, including Hindi. The top court website is currently available only in English. These will be available on the website in six languages, including Hindi, by the end of the month.

The apex court's website will now have copies of the verdicts in English as well as Hindi, Assamese, Marathi, Oriya, Kannada and Telugu. For this, the Chief Justice has given a green signal to the software. The in-house electronic software wing of the apex court is working for it. It is worth mentioning here that during a press conference in Kochi in 2017, President Ram Nath Kovind had emphasized that the judgment should be in regional languages, which would benefit non-English speaking people.

Initially, civil matter, which has a dispute between two persons, criminal matter, landlord and tenant case and the decision on the marital dispute will be uploaded in regional languages. At present, Hindi, in Telugu, Assamese, Kannada, Marathi and Oriya languages, the judgment will be provided. So far, only English judges come in.
