Indore: 14 people who came to Indore after traveling abroad for the last 1 month amid the growing crisis of new variant Omicron of corona infection have been found infected. This has alerted the health department. Chief Medical and Health Officer (CMHO) Dr. B.S. Saitya said on Thursday that according to the news available with us, due to the last one month, about 3,300 people have come to Indore via different airports of India after traveling abroad.

In the test of about 2,100 of these people, we have found 14 people infected with corona infection. He said that samples of these 14 individuals have been sent to the National Center for Disease Control (NCDC) in Delhi for genome sequencing to find out whether they are infected with the Omicron form of corona infection or not. Saitya told that the test report of NCDC is awaited.

The same CMHO also told that about 800 people who came to Indore after traveling abroad were residents of other districts and they have been informed to the state government, while the remaining people were searched for corona infection test and took their samples. The going continues. Security has also been increased in many states of the country regarding the same corona.
