In Punjab, the rule of prohibition the sale of syringes without prescription slip has been applied. This step has been taken to prevent addiction in the state. The Punjab government has issued a letter through different deputy commissioners, in which prohibition of drugs has been taken place in Punjab also the sale of syringes is prohibited without prescription.

Now, in order to buy a syringe from a chemist shop, it will not be found without the doctor's prescription. The Government thinks that people suffering from the addiction to drugs are taking intoxicants with the help of Syringes. 

Captain Amarinder Singh said that the government has taken several stringent measures to overcome addiction. Recently, the government officials were ordered to conduct a dope test. The police will also be involved in this test. Dope test will be done not only during new recruitments but also for the promotion of annual reports and annual reports to all government employees.

Chief Minister Amarinder has instructed the Chief Secretary of the state to work in this matter and issue necessary notifications. Earlier, in the Punjab cabinet meeting, the provision for serious punishment for drug smugglers has been made. For this, a formal proposal has been sent to the Central Government on behalf of the Punjab Government.
