From December 15, FASTag can be implemented nationwide. Apart from this, there is no need to take much tension regarding FASTag recharge. The government has provided a special facility, due to which it can be recharged within minutes.

Travel will be easier - According to the National Payment Corporation of India (NPCI), now people will be able to recharge the vehicle's FASTag through BHIM UPI. NPCI says that the vehicle owners will be able to travel freely on the toll plaza by recharging the FASTag from Bhima UPI. This recharge can be done from any Bhim UPI app.

You may have to pay double toll- The advantage may be that if you forget to recharge your FASTag wallet and leave the toll plaza, you will not have to pay double toll amount when you enter FASTag lane. As of now, FASTag can be recharged only by visiting the portal of the issuing bank. If you have purchased online from Amazon, then this feature can also be recharged with the official FASTag app.

This is the way
If you have any bank's FASTag you can recharge it from Bhim UPI in this way
- First of all, log in to the BHIM UPI app.
- Select the Send option on the home screen.
- After this type NETC FASTag UPI ID, in this, the name of the bank issuing the FASTag will be written in the UPI handle.
- For example, NETC.UP99TUV2100@axisbank would be written in the format. It will vary from SBI, HDFC to all.
- After this, it has to be verified.
- After this, fill the recharge amount.
- Authenticate the transaction by putting a pin in the app.
- After this, you will get an SMS of the transaction confirmation.

FASTag is offering HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, State Bank of India, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Axis Bank, Airtel Payments Bank, and Paytm Payments Bank. There is no separate FASTag recharge facility in the Bhima app. 1.04 crore tags sold so far - According to government figures, 1.04 crore FASTags have been sold so far and on an average one lakh FASTags are being added daily. The number of payers through FASTags has also increased. Payments from FASTag have crossed Rs 44 crore in the third week of December, up from Rs 26.4 crore in November. According to the Ministry of Road Transport, there are 523 FASTag toll plazas across the country and the average collection is Rs 78.6 crore per day.
