Guwahati (Assam) [India], July 30 (NT): Final draft of Assam's National Register of Citizens( NRC) was released at 10 am today in media press meet. According t the draftTwo crore eighty nine lakhs, eighty three thousand six hundred and seventy seven people have been found eligible to be included in the National Register of Citizens, as State NRC Coordinator of Assam asserted.

Here are 5 key points of the NRC announcement during the press meet

1. Every person whose name was in the first draft but not there in this final draft will be given an individual letter to file the claim for her/his non-inclusion during Claims and Objections: NRC Coordinator further informed

2. Today’s list is an NRC draft and should be treated like one; nobody will be taken to Foreigners’ Tribunal or detention centre on the basis of this draft: Joint Secretary, NE, HMO India asserted.

3. Every person who's name is not there in this draft will have ample opportunity for filing claim; no genuine Indian citizen should have any fear or panic: NRC representative further said,

‏4.2,89,83,677 people found eligible out of total 3,29,91,384 applicants for inclusion in draft NRC coordinator  in Assam told.

5. Every person whose name was in the first draft but is missing from final draft will be given an individual letter to file claim for her/his non-inclusion during claims and objections: Sailesh, Registrar General NRC Assam announced.
