Ranchi: A case related to the National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) scam was heard by a bench of Chief Justice of Jharkhand High Court Dr Ravi Ranjan and Justice SN Prasad, during which the court raised doubts over the probe into the scam. The court verbally said that the matter would be investigated by CBI if required.
The court has asked the ACB (ACB) to submit a full investigation report of the case to the court. At the same time, he has asked how many people were made accused in the case, whether the multi-crore scam was committed by only a small employee. The court has asked for a detailed report on the same. They has also asked the applicant to give 2 copies of the petition to the advocate of the CBI so that the advocates of the CBI are present in the court during the next hearing. The CBI can be entrusted with the responsibility of investigating the case if required. The next hearing in the case will be on July 16.
Let us tell you that the probe into the multi-crore scam was handed over to the ACB. Ranjay Kumar Singh, an employee, has been dismissed from his job in the case. The employee then challenged the action taken by the department in the high court and asked how he could be fired without departmental proceedings. On this, the department told the court that he was appointed on contract basis.
