Haryana: On Monday, a shocking incident recently took place in Ferozepur, Punjab. The police found a body of a pregnant woman in the Bhakra canal in Lehragaga. The deceased had allegedly been missing from her residence since March 14.  The woman was a resident of Bagge ki Pippal village which is 8 kilometres away from Ferozepur. The family of the deceased are suspecting foul play from the husband. While talking, the in-charge of Arifke police station, Gurcharan Singh said that they booked the husband of the deceased after the latter's father filed a complaint against him. The accused is settled in Australia but hails from Chandigarh.

Here it is to be noted that the deceased and the accused got married in 2013. The deceased was pregnant with her second child. It was also alleged that the accused had an extra-marital affair in Australia. Even though the deceased asked him to discontinue the relationship, he did not listen to her. The police also added that the accused allegedly planned the murder with the help of his love-interest. The accused stayed in Australia and their plan of killing the deceased was executed by his alleged partner.

Here to be noted that the deceased was kidnapped on March 14 while she was on a phone call. After being kidnapped, the deceased was strangled to death and her body was thrown into the Bhakra Canal. The permanent resident card of Canada had been recently issued to the accused and he was going to shift there from Australia.

However, The police said that the body of the deceased will be given to her family after the autopsy. The police sources said that an FIR has been lodged against the love-interest of the accused and her associates. a senior police official said that they will give the details of the case in a press conference.
