Nuh district authorities have taken measures to maintain peace and control the situation following clashes between two groups. Mobile internet services will remain suspended until Wednesday, August 2, and prohibitory orders are in place.
The incident, which occurred on Monday, resulted in the unfortunate deaths of two home guards, Neeraj and Gursevak, and injuries to about a dozen policemen. In response to the clashes, a police contingent was deployed to prevent any further untoward incidents.
As a consequence of the clashes, all educational institutions, including schools, colleges, and coaching centers, will remain closed on Tuesday in Gurugram. District Magistrate Nishant Kumar Yadav issued the order to ensure public safety.
The injured police personnel are currently receiving treatment at Gurugram's Medanta Hospital. According to the police, the clashes escalated when a mob attacked police teams while they were marching from Gurugram to Mewat.
Narender Bijarniya, the acting SP of Nuh, stated that legal action is being taken against those responsible for the clashes. Some suspects have already been arrested.
To prevent the spread of misinformation and rumors through social media platforms, the Haryana Government issued an official notification. The suspension of internet services in Nuh district aims to curb the facilitation and mobilization of agitators and demonstrators who may resort to violence and cause damage to public and private properties.
The situation is now under control, and Nuh Deputy Commissioner Prashant Panwar appealed to everyone to maintain peace. He assured that all stranded individuals have been rescued and requested full cooperation with the ongoing investigations.
The suspension of internet services will continue until August 2, as ordered by the Home Secretary of Haryana, to ensure public safety and prevent any further escalation of the situation in Nuh district. Telecom service providers are directed to comply with the order to suspend mobile internet and dongle services, except for voice calls, within the territorial jurisdiction of district Nuh.
