After the controversial statement of dismissed Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) spokesperson Nupur Sharma, the controversy is not taking the name of stopping. In fact, after the protests against Nupur, now their support has come out and everyone is raising their voice. On Saturday itself, in Uttar Pradesh, people protested in favour of Nupur by taking out a procession. On the other hand, there were also provocative posts on social media about this matter. And now in the same case, the UP Police have taken action and arrested two people. According to information received, some people took out a procession in support of Nupur Sharma in the Gopiganj police station area of Bhadohi district late on Saturday evening. The police here have registered a case on the charge of violation of Section 144 in the case.
In fact, Section 144 is already in force in the entire district and any kind of demonstration or rally is prohibited. However, despite this, leaders of Hindu organisations took out a procession and said, "The BJP did not support its national spokesperson in the time of crisis, but the entire Hindu society is with Nupur Sharma." Bhadohi SP Anil Kumar said, "A case has been registered at Gopiganj police station in this regard and 25 people have been identified so far.''
Kumar also said, "Section 144 is in force in the district and any kind of procession and demonstration is prohibited and no permission was given for this procession. On the other hand, an office-bearer of a Hindu organisation, who allegedly supported Nupur Sharma's controversial remarks on Facebook in Ghaziabad, was arrested on Saturday. In this case, the police said that a complaint in this regard was lodged through Twitter on behalf of the state general secretary of the minority cell of the Congress, Akbar Chaudhary.''
Hindu Raksha Dal convener Ishu Shikharwar had allegedly made derogatory remarks on Facebook against another religion while supporting Nupur Sharma. Police have also arrested a student in Kanpur. It is alleged that the student, who is studying law, had asked people in Kanpur to close their shops through a WhatsApp message. The accused has been identified as Kshitij Dwivedi, a resident of Shastri Nagar in Kakadeo.
