Kolkata: Trinamool Congress (TMC) MP and actress Nusrat Jahan from West Bengal did not arrive to attend the winter session of Parliament on Monday as she is suffering from breathing problems. Because of which she has been admitted to the Apollo Hospital in Kolkata on Sunday. According to the information, she has been admitted to the hospital due to shortness of breath.

Nusrat Jahan's spokesperson Abhishek Majumdar said that the actress will be discharged from the hospital today. Nusrat's family has dismissed reports that she was hospitalized due to drug overdose. Nusrat contested from Basirhat Lok Sabha seat in the Lok Sabha elections held this year. Where she defeated BJP candidate Shayantan Ghosh by 3,50,369 votes. After the election results, the TMC MP married Kolkata-based businessman Nikhil Jain on June 19 in the Turkish city of Bodrum in the presence of family and close friends.

On Saturday Nusrat was seen celebrating with friends at her husband Nikhil Jain's birthday party. Her family claims that Nusrat has asthma and is hospitalized due to shortness of breath. For the same reason earlier, her health has deteriorated.
