An elderly man of Odisha overwhelmed by emotions jumped into the burning pyre of his wife. Deaths are never easy to accept and when someone close to you dies it may become vulnerable for us. In the recent case, it seems the same where the man couldn't bear the pain of loss of his wife jumps in the fire. 

The incident was instantly charred to the death of a man in Odisha's Kalahandi district. The police informed that the incident took place on Tuesday at Sialjodi village in Golamunda block of the district. The 65-year-old Nilamani Sabar suddenly jumped into the funeral pyre of his wife Raibari. After his four sons and relatives had gone to take a bath in a nearby waterbody as per tradition the father jumped in the pyre of his wife, a police officer said. Sabar, who was a former Samiti member of his gram panchayat, died on the spot, he said.

"We have registered a case of unnatural death based on the statement of the family members and villagers present at the spot," Inspector-in-Charge of Kegaon Police Station Damu Paraja said.
