A midst the Corona crisis, a shocking incident has come to light from Odisha in which a 48-year-old BJP leader was allegedly beaten to death by three criminals in a road rage case in Mayurbhanj district on Saturday night. All the three criminals have been arrested. According to reports, Ranjit Pradhan, balasore district in-charge of BJP's youth wing Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha, was travelling in his car to his in-laws' village in Nuasahi village when he was heard from three miscreants riding motorcycles near Kusumpur Chowk in Kaptipada police station area.
Officer-in-charge of Kaptipara police station Sanjay Pradhan said that the three criminals had an argument with the leader over lack of space for allegedly passing through after which the criminals dragged him out of the car and punched him and started beating him mercilessly, leaving him seriously injured. He was rushed to Udala Saad Divisional Hospital where doctors declared him brought dead.
Police said the three criminals were later arrested and a case of murder has been registered against them. The police officer said the three criminals were well prepared to attack the BJP leader and stabbed him several times. Police said that according to the post mortem report, the victim's head, chest and other organs have been bleeding profusely due to continuous beating.
