A number of cases continue to come from the country, in the meantime, in the meantime, an accused (gangster), who is in life imprisonment in a government hospital in Odisha, escaped from the hospital on Saturday afternoon as soon as he got an opportunity. Questions have been raised on the entire police department as the offender escapes while under police supervision. Sheikh Haider, who was sentenced to life imprisonment in 2015 in Rashmi Mohapatra's murder case, was brought to Sriram Chandra Bhanj Medical College and Hospital, Cuttack, 12 days ago from Sambalpur Circle Jail for surgery.

On the same Saturday afternoon, the accused Hyder suddenly ran away from the surgery department. The surprising thing is that the sentry who went to the surgery department to inspect Hyder's condition and give him an injection was also found to be in a state of unconsciousness. The nurse said  "when I reached the surgery department at around 5.30 in the evening. Then I found the sentry unconscious there. Although I woke him up, he was not conscious. The nurse stated that Hyder was also not present on his bed".

Senior police officials said that the police station for the safety and surveillance of the gangsters have lax. He said that it was the responsibility of the police officers of Sambalpur to ensure the safety of the accused. Only one police were sent along with Hyder to supervise the accused. Senior officials said that we were not even told that gangster treatment was going on in SCB Medical College and Hospital for the last 12 days. We were given this news when the accused absconded from the hospital. Deputy Commissioner of Police, Cuttack, Prateek Singh said that the security personnel on duty were given a soft drink by Haider's helpers, after which he fainted. However, another officer claimed that the guards were allegedly fed Hyderabadi Biryani, in which drugs were mixed. Police said they are investigating who assisted Hyder within the hospital.
