BHUBANESWAR:  Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today, February 6, said that his government is committed to providing accessible and efficient legal services to the citizens at their doorsteps.

Patnaik said this while inaugurating the court of civil judge-senior division-cum-assistant sessions judge in his native state of Hinjilicut.

On a virtual platform, Patnaik and Chief Justice S. Muralidhar of the Orissa High Court inaugurated the court.

Yes, today, a long-standing aspiration of the citizen of Hinjilicut has been fulfilled, the Chief Minister said, adding that this is a significant improvement in the Hinjilicut community's access to justice.

"I am confident that having this legal facility closer to their homes will benefit the people of Hinjilicut, especially the impoverished and weaker parts of society," Patnaik said.

The Ganjam Chief Minister hoped that the attorneys would take full advantage of this resource and reach out to the litigant public to uphold justice and fairness.

Justice Muralidhar, who spoke on the occasion from Cuttack, stated that the High Court and the judiciary have been taking steps to ensure that there is no delay in delivering justice to the people.

Judge, Odisha High Court Dr. Justice B.R. Sarangi hailed the vision of the Chief Minister in opening new courts, and taking justice closer to people. He appreciated both the Chief Minister and the Chief Justice for their support in opening of new courts. Registrar General of High Court Shri Pratap Kumar Patra greeted the guests and Registrar (Judicial) Shri suman Mishra offered the vote of thanks.
