Puri: If a person wants, it can do anything. It has been proved once again by an agriculturist from Odisha. This farmer did not have water in the fields. The officers were very much told that water should be given but not heard. Finally, the farmer did something which the nearby people were also coming to see this indigenous invention.

There has been a unique incident in Mayurbhanj city of Odisha where an agriculturist named Mahur Tiparia has built a native water wheel to carry water to his fields 2 km away from the river. These water wheelers are made up of bamboo and wood. It has a large round wheel that rotates like a windmill with water and airflow. In this wheel, the farmer has planted water-drinking bottles. The mouth part of these bottles is kept closed with a lid, while the lower part of the bottle is cut and made like an open pot in which water is stored.

There are 30-40 bottles of wood attached to the same wheel. The wheel rotates and the water is filled in these bottles. A collection centre has been built near the height of the wheel, the mouth of the water bottles is placed on the side of this collection centre, the water bottle falls into the collection centre whenever it goes near it.
