New Delhi: Union Culture Minister G K Reddy's statement came amid reports of excavations in the premises of the historic building Qutub Minar. In fact, recently he has denied the media reports. In fact, the Culture Minister recently said, "No decision has been taken to dig the Qutub Minar complex.'' Earlier there were reports that the excavation in the Qutub Minar complex will start very soon. In fact, the Ministry of Culture has been instructed to carry out the iconography of the idols in Qutub Minar.

Recently, Union Culture Minister G K Reddy said, "No excavation will be carried out in the Qutub Minar complex by the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI). So far, we have not taken any decision in this regard. All such reports are baseless. In the report that came out, it was said that the Ministry of Culture has given instructions that the iconography of the idols in the Qutub Minar should be done. And on the basis of this report, excavation work will be carried out in the Qutub Minar complex and after that, The ASI will submit its report to the Ministry of Culture. In this case, it was reported that the culture secretary had taken this decision after conducting an inspection with the officials. Therefore, the excavation work can be started in the south of the Qutub Minar and 15 meters away from the mosque.

Not only this, the report had given information about not only digging at Qutub Minar, Anangtal and Lalkot fort as well. In fact, culture secretary Govind Mohan along with a team of 12 people had inspected the Qutub Minar complex. The team consisted of 3 historians, 4 ASI officials and researchers. In this case, ASI officials say that the excavation work in Qutub Minar has not taken place since 1991. ASI officials say that the excavation work in Qutub Minar has not been done since 1991. Apart from this, many researches are also pending, due to which this decision has been taken.
