New Delhi: Oil companies have postponed the delivery authentication code (DAC), an important related to the country's changing cooking gas cylinders (LPG), from 1 November 2020. So even if a consumer's mobile number is not linked to the gas connection, they still need not be disturbed at the moment. However, around 30 percent of the customers are already using it.
In this context, a senior officer of the oil company has informed that the DAC will continue, but it is not mandatory. That is, if the mobile number of a customer is not connected with a gas connection, then DAC will not come on his mobile. Given the technical problems, it has not been made mandatory for now. Whereas earlier companies had made it mandatory for customers to show DAC codes from November 1 for delivery of cylinders in Delhi-NCR and 100 Smart Cities.
What is DAC Code?
You will not get delivery of cylinder only by booking through DAC code. For this an OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number, that OTP will have to be told to the delivery boy. Only after doing so, consumers will get LPG cylinder. So if a customer’s mobile number is not registered, they can get their number updated through the app. This app will also be available for delivery boy. OTP will be generated after updating the number.
