A new invention has come in the world of cab bookings. Now you can drive a car by booking the car on Ola. Cab service Ola has announced the car-sharing service 'Ola Drive' in India. The new service will initially be rolled out to users in Bengaluru, after which Hyderabad, Mumbai and New Delhi will also be a part of it. The company informed about this in its Bangalore headquarters and it is targeted to host 20,000 cars by 2020. Ola claims that it has the largest user base in India and its car-sharing service has more than 200 million subscribers.

It is worth noting that Ola claims that cars in all segments will be available with its connected car platform Ola Play, which is a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment device. GPS, media playback support and Bluetooth connectivity will be available to customers for a comfortable experience in all service-connected cars. Along with this, Ola is also offering platform support and safety features like 24/7 helpline, emergency button and real-time tracking. Apart from this, roadside assistance will also be available to the customers as and when required.

Last month, the company also announced an expansion of its bike service launched in 2016. Ola is competing with Uber in over 250 cities across the country and is present in global markets such as Australia, New Zealand, The UK. The new Ola Drive service will be available at pick-up stations built at residential and commercial hubs at different locations in Bangalore. From here, customers will be able to pick up the car by making a security deposit of at least Rs 2,000.
