Before the start of test rides on November 10, Ola Electric has announced the introduction of its first Hypercharger for charging its electric S1 scooter. Bhavish Aggarwal, the EV company's CEO, took to Twitter to post photos of a Yellow S1 e-scooter being charged by its Hypercharger.

Aggarwal, in his Twitter post, wrote, “The first @OlaElectric Hypercharger goes live… charging up my S1 after the morning trip." The company had earlier announced that it will set up charging support for its customers under its 'Hypercharger' setup that will be installed in over 100,000 locations/touchpoints across 400 Indian cities.

The Hyperchargers from Ola Electric will be able to charge e-scooter batteries from 0 to 50% in just 18 minutes, giving them a half-cycle range of 75 kilometres. The company's website provides a city-by-city list of charging network sites, with the majority of Tier I and Tier II cities serviced by the charging network. The Hypercharger stations will have a tiered configuration to accommodate several clients at once.

The first Hypercharger was shown only days before the start of test rides for the Ola Electric S1 and S1 Pro scooters, which were both released on August 15. The e-scooters will be delivered starting next month, according to the business.

The Ola S1 costs Rs 1 lakh (ex-showroom) and has a stated range of 120 kilometres on a single charge. It comes in ten different colours and is powered by an 8.5 kW electric motor and a 3.97 kWh battery pack. Due to its bigger battery pack, the S1 Pro electric scooter has a longer range of 180 km on a single charge and is priced at Rs 1.30 lakh. It has a peak speed of 115 kilometres per hour.

The issue of K Kavita's ministerial post once again became a topic of discussion.
