Ola Electric claims to have increased production in order to increase delivery to customers and create a new buying window for its S1 and S1 Pro electric scooters. Bhavish Aggarwal, the EV maker's CEO, said on Thursday that the Ola S1 and S1 Pro scooters are currently producing around a thousand units per day.

"Futurefactory currently producing around 1000 scooters a day," Aggarwal said on Twitter, sharing the news. So far, manufacturing has been limited to today! Customers who have not yet purchased will be able to do so soon. I'll pass it on."

The increase in production comes at a time when reports said Ola Electric was having difficulty producing even 150 units per day. According to a recent Bloomberg storey, the company is dealing with some manufacturing problems. According to reports, Ola Electric's body shop is only half occupied, and its paint shop is still under construction.

Ola Electric produces electric scooters at its Futurefactory site in Tamil Nadu. The Ola Futurefactory, which spans 500 acres of land, plans to produce 20 lakh electric scooters per year in the first phase. The factory was completed in a record-breaking six months and employs around 10,000 women-only workers.

Ola Electric has earlier stated that it had received over 90,000 bookings for its S1 and S1 Pro electric scooters. Bhavish Aggarwal recently announced that all e-scooter units ordered online have been sent from the company's factory.

Ola Electric is also attempting to meet the rising demand. Despite sending 40,000 units from its initial batch, less than 300 clients received their S1 or S1 Pro electric scooters by the end of last year, according to recent reports.
