New Delhi: The Olympics are over and now the Paralympic Games (Paralympics 2020) are set to begin in Tokyo. Earlier on Tuesday, PM Narendra Modi will talk to athletes participating in the Paralympics through video conferencing. Modi's interaction with the athletes will begin at 11 am on Tuesday. Even before the Olympics began, PM Modi had encouraged the athletes by talking to them.

According to the information received, PM Modi will speak with about 10 para-athletes. These include Parul Parmar and Palak (Para Badminton), Singhraj (Shooting), Jyoti and Rakesh (Archery), Soman Rana, Devendra, and Mariyappan (Athletics), Prachi Yadav (Canoeing), and Sakena Khatun (Power Lifting). The Paralympic Games are set to begin on August 24 in Tokyo. It will continue till September 5. This time 54 para-athletes will represent India in 9 events. It is India's largest-ever contingent at the Paralympic Games.

Tell us that India has done its best ever at the Tokyo Olympics this time. This time India has won 7 medals, including one gold, two silver, and 4 bronze medals. Neeraj Chopra has given India gold. Ravi Dahiya in wrestling and Mirabai Chanu in weightlifting have won silver medals. While badminton stars PV Sindhu, Lavlina Borgohen, Bajrang Punia, and the men's hockey team won bronze medals.
