Bollywood veteran Om Puri was born on 17th October. Om Puri, who has given many best and superhit films, is loved by people, and every time he has won everyone's heart with his acting. Om Puri was as good an actor as he was a man of a noble heart. He has given strong performances in Bollywood and Hollywood movies and has proved his ability. He was born in Patiala in the year 1950 and his full name was Om Rajesh Puri. He died in the year 2017.

Om Puri was born in a Punjabi family and his father worked in the Indian Railways. However, his childhood was spent in poverty. First of all Om Puri started his film career with the Marathi film Ghasiram Kotwal. After this film, he settled in the hearts of people by working in the 1983 film Ardh Satya and after that he worked in many hit films. At the age of 6, Om Puri used to clean tea utensils at tea stalls, but he had to become an actor from childhood.

The urge to learn acting led him to the National School of Drama and in the year 1988 Om Puri played many roles in Doordarshan's famous TV series 'Bharat Ek Khoj' which was well received by the audience. After this show, his luck shone and he gave many hits. It is said that the cause of Om Puri's death was a heart attack. At the moment he is not in this world but he still resides in hearts.
