Kolkata: The election bugle has been played in West Bengal. PM Modi is going to address the rally in Kolkata today, while Mamata Banerjee has also started campaigning. In the midst of all this, there is also a verbal war in the Bengal elections. As you may know, BJP candidate Suvdendu Adhikari, contesting from Nandigram against West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, is in constant discussion due to his statements. He has recently made a big statement about Kashmir and now Omar Abdullah, the former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, has retaliated with this statement.

What did Suvdendu Adhikari say: Actually, in the past, Suvdendu Adhikari attacked TMC fiercely in the public meeting of Muchipara, Behala. During this time he said, "If TMC returns to power again, West Bengal will become Kashmir." After this statement, political arrogance has started going on. Now former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir Omar Abdula has reacted strongly to this statement.

What did the former Chief Minister Omar: On this statement of BJP candidate Suvdendu Adhikari, Omar Abdullah said, 'According to the BJP people, Kashmir has become a paradise after August 2019, so what is wrong with West Bengal becoming Kashmir? Anyway, Bengali people love Kashmir and meet us in large numbers. This is a stupid comment. For this we forgive.'

As you all may know, in the 2016 assembly elections of West Bengal, BJP got less than 5 and a half percent votes in Nandigram's seat. In this case, the total number of valid votes on this seat was 2 lakh 01 thousand 552. Of these, BJP candidate Bijan Kumar Das had got only 10 thousand 713 votes, but in the year 2016, Suvdendu Adhikari had won this seat in this election. During that time he defeated his nearest rival Abdul Kabir Sheikh of CPI by 81 thousand 230 votes. In fact, Suvdendu Adhikari had secured 67.2 percent votes with 1 lakh 34 thousand 623 votes, while Abdul Kabir Sheikh received only 53 thousand 393 votes.
