In Bengaluru, the capital of Karnataka, a case was heard that shocked everyone. In fact, a couple living here had received the 'child' of through surrogacy. Janha A year later, while the couple were preparing to celebrate their son's first birthday, they came to know that the child had been kidnapped a year ago. The doctor who underwent the alleged surrogacy in the case has been taken into custody for stealing the child. Police are investigating the case.

This is the whole case: it is learnt that Dr. Rashmi Shashikumar, who lives in Vijayanagar, works in a private hospital on Banerghatta Road. She belongs to Kikkodi in Belagavi district. According to the information received, she had promisedto give a baby to a couple through surrogacy. In return, she had taken Rs 14.5 lakh and handed over the child during May 2020.

When the police reached home, it came to light: Not only that, it took them 1 year to trace the child. The child was stolen from the hospital in May 2020. The police team reached Koppal in Karnataka North on Saturday (May 29) and informed the couple about the entire matter. The couple was shocked to hear this. They said, 'All they knew was that this child was found through surrogacy. They had not even met the surrogacy woman so far. After which the DNA test of the child was conducted by the police, which confirmed his biological parents. Dr Rashmi was then taken into custody. He was sent to jail along with his 45-day-old daughter.

Child stolen in May 2020: It may be recalled that on May 29, 2020, Rashmi had stolen the child from BBMP Government Hospital in Chamrajpet. The child's father Naveed Pasha and mother Husna Bano had come to Chamrajpet from Andhra Pradesh in search of work. Navish is an auto driver. The baby was born on May 29 near 7:50 a.m. At about 10 p.m., when Naveed had gone to drop a relative home, a female doctor had a conversation with Husna. On the advice of the doctor, the attendant gave the woman a medicine that she ate and fell asleep. About 45 minutes later, when she woke up, the child had been stolen.
