Tollywood star Dulqueer Salmaan announced on Thursday that he had tested positive for coronavirus and was experiencing moderate symptoms. The 35-year-old actor was infected with COVID-19 only days after his legendary father Mammootty tested positive. To convey the news, Salmaan issued a brief message on his official social media pages, stating that he has been isolated at his home.

"I have just tested positive for Covid19. I’m isolating at home and have mild flu symptoms but (I) am otherwise ok. People who were in close contact with me during the shoots over the last few days, please isolate and test if you notice symptoms," the actor wrote.

Talking about his professional life, Dulquer's next film Salute has been postponed due to an increase in coronavirus cases across the country.
