Mumbai: The new Omicron variant of the corona infection has now started to scare. Due to Omicron, the sound of the third wave has also started in India. In Mumbai, 2,510 new cases of the corona were reported on the last day. Given this, now the administration has implemented Section 144 in Mumbai. Section 144 will remain in force in Mumbai till January 7. Along with this, a ban has also been imposed on celebrating the New Year.

According to the news received, the administration has imposed Section 144 in Mumbai from December 30 to January 7. Also, there will be a ban on celebrating the New Year in public places. There will be no party in restaurants, hotels, bars, pubs, resorts and clubs from December 30 to January 7. There has been a sudden increase in the cases of corona in Mumbai. On Wednesday, 2,510 new cases of the corona were reported here. Whereas, there were 1,377 cases on Tuesday. One patient also died on Wednesday and 251 patients recovered. Health Minister Rajesh Tope said that the positivity rate is increasing alarmingly. Right now the positivity rate is 4% and if it goes up to 5% then restrictions will be imposed here like in Delhi. People will have to see the increasing cases and stop increasing the crowd in the marriage program.

On Wednesday, the government also issued new corona guidelines. Under this, many types of restrictions have also been imposed regarding the new year. According to the new guidelines, 50% seating capacity was allowed in closed places like halls or restaurants and 25% in open spaces. Environment Minister Aaditya Thackeray said that if these rules are not followed, strict action will be taken against those who do not follow them.
