Dehradun: The health department has urged the public to maintain restraint by behaving in accordance with the corona over omicron. The government has so far stated that there is no need for any panic about the omicron variant, but vigilance and caution need to be exercised for all people.

A statement issued by the same government said that as per international and national level assessments, there are no reports of any terrible appearance of omicron variants. It is generally observed that omicron variant infection is generally cured with minor symptoms or severe symptoms. Health Secretary Pankaj Kumar Pandey said that one corona omicron variant patient has been confirmed in the state so far.

The same patient is a resident of Kanwali Road Dehradun. Who has come to India on 8th December from a trip to Scotland. The omicron variant was confirmed on December 22 in the patient's genome sequence report. It was reported that full precautions are being taken to prevent any unusual situation. The patient is in normal condition and has no symptoms. The patient's parents were also tested for corona in which they have been found to be infected. Samples have been sent for genome sequencing tests. Both the patients also have no symptoms. At the same time, the Government has instructed the public to follow proper protocol.
