Omicron threat: Meghalaya logs 362 Covid cases in last 24 hours

On Sunday, Meghalaya logged 362 new COVID-19 cases and 4 deaths in the East Khasi Hills (2), Eastern West Khasi Hills (1), and West Jaintia Hills (1). (1).

Meanwhile, in the last 24 hours, the State has recovered 424 new instances, bringing the total number of recovered cases to 87,009. The number of active cases has risen to 2,353, according to a Health Department statement. So far, 1,522 people have died of the COVID-19 virus.

With 1,198 active cases, East Khasi Hills is the most active. West Khasi Hills has 35 cases, East Garo Hills 27, West Garo Hills 519, Ri-Bhoi 177, West Jaintia Hills 84, East Jaintia Hills 28, South West Khasi Hills 56, South Garo Hills 37, North Garo Hills 60, Eastern West Khasi Hills 52, and South West Garo Hills 80.

The 362 new COVID-19 cases which have been detected are from East Khasi Hills (149), Eastern West Khasi Hills (8), East Jaintia Hills (10), Ri-Bhoi (19), South Garo Hills (5), South West Khasi Hills (10), West Jaintia Hills (8), West Garo Hills (133), North Garo Hills (6), West Khasi Hills (1), South West Garo Hills (13) and East Garo Hills (1).

The 424 recovered cases are from the East Khasi Hills (291), East Jaintia Hills (4), Eastern West Khasi Hills (8), Ri-Bhoi (19), South Garo Hills (6), South West Garo Hills (6), West Jaintia Hills (1), South West Khasi Hills (2), West Garo Hills (89) and West Khasi Hills (4).
