New Delhi: Scientists from South Africa have done a new study regarding the Omicron variant of the corona virus. This study has shown that people who have recovered from infection with the Omicron variant may be able to overcome infections from the delta variant and subsequent variants. Scientists say that it is possible to increase the case of Omicron for a few days, but if we talk about long time, then getting infected with the Omicron variant will be more likely to not be admitted to the hospital and death will also be very less.

The study also states that the Omicron variant will cause much less damage than other earlier variants. Alex Sigal, a virologist at the Africa Health Research Institute in Durban, South Africa, says that the Omicron variant is replacing the delta variant. Maybe removing the delta variant is a really good thing. Our study has shown that we can live with the Omicron variant more easily. This variant will do us much less harm than the other variants of the past.

At the same time, Carl Pearson, an epidemiologist at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, has said that although these studies are preliminary, it is true that when Omicron arrives, it spreads rapidly and the delta variant begins to disappear. Nathan Grubaugh, an epidemiologist at the Yale School of Public Health, has said that we are seeing the same pattern in Connecticut. We are seeing that Omicron is growing rapidly and Delta cases are decreasing.
