New Delhi: A total of 8 new cases of new Omicron variants of corona virus have been registered in India during the last 24 hours. States from which new cases have come to light. They include 6 cases from Maharashtra and 2 from Gujarat. According to the latest information, the number of people infected with the new variant of corona in the country has now gone up to 153.

30 new cases of Omicron were registered from across the country on Saturday. Meanwhile, 26 new cases were reported on Friday. While on Thursday it was 14. There were 12 such cases reported on both Tuesday and Wednesday. In12 states of India, people infected with Omicron have been detected, including Maharashtra, Delhi, Telangana, Rajasthan, Karnataka, Kerala, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Chandigarh, Tamil Nadu and West Bengal.

State that 54 cases of Omicron have been registered in Maharashtra so far. On the other hand, 22 cases have been registered in Delhi, 20 in Telangana, 17 in Rajasthan, 14 in Karnataka, 11 in Kerala, 9 in Gujarat, two in Uttar Pradesh and one each from Andhra Pradesh, Chandigarh, Tamil Nadu and West Bengal. Two out of six patients in Maharashtra had recently returned to India after travelling to Tanzania. While two other patients came from England and one came from the Middle East. An official statement said all five of these patients are fully vaccinated and include two female patients.
