 On his 60th birthday, renowned Tollywood actor Jagapathi Babu pledged to donate his organs to the Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS) Hospitals. The actor agreed to give his vital organs in the hopes of saving other people's livesHe also encouraged his 100 friends and fans to donate their organs for the good of humanity.

"Every life, especially human lives, must have a purpose! I feel that if we can contribute back to the society in which we live, our lives will have the right meaning. After we die, the highest thing we can think of is to help others see, breathe, and survive "he remarked during a signing ceremony for the pledge.

"I'd want to ask all of my friends and those who love and appreciate my work as an actor to consider pledging their organs to assist millions of people whose lives are otherwise bleak," the actor stated.

Dr. Bollineni Bhaskar Rao, MD of KIMS Hospitals, stated that Jagapathi Babu played many inspirational roles during his acting career, and that by pledging his organs, he has now become a great hero and a true inspiration for millions of people in the community. He thought that by doing so, he would not only inspire his fans to follow in his footsteps, but also assist raise awareness about organ donation.

The event was attended by Jayesh Ranjan, Principal Secretary, Industries & Information Technology, Dr. G.Swarnalatha, Incharge, Jeevandan programme, as well as numerous Jagapathi Babu friends and fans.
