Islamabad: In the second ODI between Pakistan and Australia played in Lahore, Babar Azam scored a brilliant century to easily achieve Australia's target of 349 runs. To win this match, Pakistan has levelled the 3-match ODI series against Australia at 1-1. Babar Azam scored 114 off 83 balls in the second ODI. Former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi also reacted to captain Babar's innings.
Shahid Afridi, who has played 398 ODIs for Pakistan, tweeted after Babar Azam's innings and Pakistan's win in which Afridi wrote, "Excellent win! Babar Azam made a great start, but in the end he lost his pace. I'm looking forward to seeing him as a match-winning player. Apart from this, a great performance by Khushdil Shah, Imam-ul-Haq, Shaheen Afridi." Former cricketer Shahid Afridi, after praising Babar, also made a small negative comment on him, which enraged pakistan fans on Afridi.
People attacked his 'I am waiting to see Babar as a match-winning player' and his own style of play was questioned by the fans. In fact, Babar Azam scored runs at a strike rate of 137, although he lost his wicket after scoring a century, due to which Afridi was disappointed.
