Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath celebrated the festival of Ram Navami in an atmosphere of reverence, devotion and gaiety at Gorak Nath temple on Sunday. On this occasion, nine girls and 1 Batuk Bhairav was worshipped in the traditional way in the newly constructed anna area of the Gorakshapeethadhisvara temple.  

The program was held at 11 a.m. For this, the temple management had completed its preparations on Saturday evening itself. The girls were invited by the temple management for the puja. Although there is a tradition of worshipping nine girls, but the CM has given food to all the girls who come on this occasion with 9 girls as well as with their own hands.  

Chief Minister Yogi sent off the girls by giving them Dakshina. There was a lot of attraction among the children about the worship to be done with love and affection. They wait for this moment twice a year because Kanya Puja takes place twice a year. First time in Chaitra Navratri and second time in Shardiya Navratri. At the same time, on the Maha Ashtami date of Vasantik Navratri, CM Yogi Adityanath worshipped Maa Mahagauri, the eighth form of the goddess, by law at the Shaktipeeth of Gorakhnath temple on Saturday night. In the midst of Vedic chanting, according to the custom of the peeth, he first performed a havan due to this and then performed the aarti of the mother. Due to this he also completed all the deities Abhishek and Satvik Bali rituals. The worship of the Ashtami date was completed with the distribution of Prasad.
