Betul: There has been a piece of shocking news recently from Betul in Madhya Pradesh. In fact, here, once again, an elderly man was killed on suspicion of witchcraft. According to reports, after the death of a girl in a Betul house, family members attributed her death to an elderly man in the village. The family members have reportedly accused the elderly man of sorcery and in the meantime thrashed him, killing him. Police said he died during treatment. Police have registered an FIR in the case and the accused has been taken into custody last Wednesday itself.

The entire case is said to be from the Athner area of Betul. Athner police station in-charge Janyat Marskole said the incident took place around 9 pm on Tuesday. The case further stated that the son of the deceased Shyamrao, who was 70 years old, said that he had already slept after eating that night. Meanwhile, Sukhdev, who lives in the village, came and said that his father Shyamlal was being beaten with sticks by the village Jitu and was being dragged out of the house and on the road.

Let us tell you that Shyamrao used to work as sorcery in the village. In this case, the niece of accused Jitu had died suddenly two days ago and after this, the people of Jitu and the family felt that Shyamrao had done sorcery on his niece, due to which he died. In this doubt, Jitu beat Shyamrao and dragged him to death. At the same time, the elderly died due to treatment in the hospital.
