MP Navneet Rana hits out at Uddhav Thackeray over petrol and diesel prices

New Delhi:  Amidst the rising prices of petrol and diesel, the central government has given a big relief to the people by cutting the excise duty. But after the central government, now the pressure is increasing on the states to cut taxes, especially the BJP leaders are now attacking the opposition states. Meanwhile, Independent MP Navneet Rana has targeted Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray on the pretext of petrol and diesel prices.

What did MP Navneet Rana say?: MP Navneet Rana, who has been in the news for the Hanuman Chalisa controversy, has taken a dig at Chief Minister Uddhav and said, "The central government has reduced the duty, now when is the Maharashtra government going to cut tax?" Navneet Rana has said that the way the government has also given relief to the people of the country, I thank Nirmala Sitharaman and Modi ji for the relief given on the Ujjwala gas cylinder. But I want to ask, when is the tax on petrol and diesel going to be reduced in Maharashtra?

According to reports, the prices of petrol and diesel were constantly increasing for the past one month, which has also affected the inflation. Finally, the government now had to reduce the tax cuts and give relief to the public. While BJP leaders continue to be seen praising PM Modi on social media over this cut, opposition leaders say that in the last one month, the government had increased the price by more than that. It's just a cheat with people. However, after this reduction of the central government, the pressure is now on the non-BJP ruled states. There is a demand that these states are also engaged in cutting taxes.
