New Delhi: It is in recent incident, this is the 21st century, women are multi-tasking and excelling in managing their work-life balance. From running business to managing communities, women have proved themselves in every aspect. Women empowerment is gaining strength and the government of India has taken a lot of steps to empower them.

However, the issue of women's safety still remains a big concern. The Central and the state governments have launched several schemes for the safety of women.  Apart from the various steps, it has been observed that majority of women are not aware of these schemes. Initiatives like Beti Padhao, Beti Bachao, Stand Up India, and many more have been launched for the welfare of women population in India.

Azad Foundation: The New Delhi-based organisation trains women in professions traditionally closed to them and help them to achieve their desired goals.

Bharatiya Grameen Mahila sang: Bharatiya Grameen Mahila sang or BGMS  is a non-political and non-sectarian national organisation. It was founded in 1955 and it has its branches all over India.
